SCC Team

Today we introduce you to our Southern Computer Co. Team. With over 40 years of I.T. experience, our team is highly trained and professional. We are dedicated to our clients’ needs and provide an excellent and diverse range of I.T. services. Here is a little more information about each of our team members, their experience in the industry and their professional stories. 

Rohan Gleeson – Founder and CEO
Founder and CEO of Southern Computer Co, Southern Fibre and a Director of Rainmaker Managed IT. Rohan studied accounting but the IT industry in the mid 1970’s became his passion. He built SCC as the Registered Clubs Industry in NSW was calling for systems to control Poker Machine data.  A complete suite of systems has been developed for the Club Industry and today it is one of the most complete suites of products available. Rohan is a pioneer of the past but with a vision for the future a skill that has seen many clients prosper with his support over the years.

Bryan Coetzee – Systems Support
Bryan joined Southern Computer Co. In March 2004 having spent his first 30 years in South Africa. Bryan has held many computer support rolls throughout his I.T. career. Before joining Southern Computer, Bryan was a Senior Customer Service Engineer for a large I.T. company based in Durban South Africa. Bryan is a fully qualified Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. At Southern Computer Co. Bryan is the front line for hardware and network support. He builds and supports our client’s servers and makes an active contribution in the world of virus control as well as backup and recovery.

Martin Sheather – Systems Engineer 
After graduating in Physics and Mathematics at the Australian National University, Martin joined SCC in May 2008 where he continued his studies in I.T. Martin now holds a masters degree in I.T. networking, along with numerous vendor and industry certifications. With this background Martin has played an integral role in the development of ‘Southern Fibre’, a new direction for SCC where he specialises in fibre optic network design and installation. Martin’s main focus at SCC is around the design and maintenance of our clients’ secure networks – networks carrying highly sensitive data, from medical and legal records to cashless poker machine transactions.

Bridie Young – Marketing and Strategic Planner
Bridie is the newest member of the Southern Computer team. She joined the SCC team in June 2015. Bridie is responsible for marketing and strategic planning and brings a young and vibrant personality to our organisation. Bridie has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney majoring in French and Anthropology. Bridie is currently completing a Diploma of Graphic Design from Martin College. Bridie has a keen interest in Social justice, human and Animal Rights. She is the Sponsorship Co-ordinator for The Asha Foundation which helps disadvantaged Children in Nepal.
